Prof. Dr. Aatir Rizvi, currently serving as Professor and Principal, Superior College of Law, Lahore, is a man of many talents. His brilliant academic career speaks volumes about his legal acumen and command over the law.
Although an old Ravian, Prof. Dr. Rizvi received his first legal degree from University of the Punjab, an LLB degree in which he holds a unique record of getting first-class-first. He holds the highest aggregate marks ever in LLB and gold medals in Islamic Jurisprudence and Muslim Personal Law. He further obtained a Masters in Political Science and again topped the University of the Punjab and also holds a Masters in History. He then did an MPhil and then a PhD in International Relations from the University of the Punjab, again in the top position. In recognition of his excellent academic achievements, he was awarded the prestigious Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Scholarship to pursue his LLM at the University of Cambridge, UK, where he received the Gooderson Award for outstanding performance. He is also an alumni of the Lady Noon Trust, the US Department of State, a former Chevening Scholar, and a Fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Society.
Currently, he heads the Superior College of Law, Lahore. In addition, he is Executive Director of the Institute of Public Administration and Policy Studies and Fellow of the Azra Naheed Center for Research and Development, Superior University Lahore. He is also the founding editor-in-chief of Superior Law Review and has written a number of books and research articles on various aspects of law.
